Damp proof membrane

The blue plastic coating on the top of the underfloor heating panels is a vapour barrier, designed to stop the polystyrene from absorbing moisture from the screed. It is not a damp proof membrane.

Structural ground floor slabs should be provided with a damp proof membrane to comply with Building Regulations
