Edge insulation

To comply with Building Regulations, to minimise unwanted heat loss and allow for expansion, it is important to ensure that the floor screed does not form a bridge to either external or internal walls. Therefore, edge insulation must be laid against all walls. Equator edge insulation has a flap of polyethylene that has been designed to be lifted and laid on the floor insulation below the floor panels to stop screed bridging the gap between the edge of the wall and the floor insulation. Any surplus insulation showing above the top of the finished floor screed is easily trimmed once the screed has cured.

Note: Ensure that the clear polythene flap on the edge insulation sits on top of any floor insulation laid below the Equator underfloor heating panels.
